Environment: Sandy and stony deserts, found along the
northern edge of the tropical rain system during the summer.
- Diet: Grasses and leaves, sometimes herbs.

periods of time.

Social Structure: Herds of 20 members, male and
females together - lead by the oldest female.
- Sleep Habits: Mainly nocturnal.
- Status: Critically endangered.

Flying Fox Bat

Environment: Southeast Asia, prefers coastal regions.

Diet: Nectar and flowers are favorites, but also eats
fruits.
- Special Powers: Well-developed eyesight.

Social Structure: Noisy and roosts with thousands of
other bats.

Sleep Habits: Usually restless until midmorning, but
not always nocturnal.
- Status: Near-threatened

Gelada Baboon

Environment: Ethiopian highlands, in the grasslands
and on the cliffs.

Diet: 90% grasses. They prefer seeds, herbs, flowers,
and roots. Sometimes they eat insects too.

Special Powers: Can chew their food as effectively as
zebra.

Social Structure: Highly social, living in groups of
about 15 within greater social circles. They use complex
vocalizations.
- Sleep Habits: Active during the day time.
- Status: Least concerning.

Polar Bear

Environment: Arctic Circle. They rely on the ocean.

Diet: Mostly seals, but consume other wild foods,
including muskox, reindeer, birds, eggs, rodents, crabs, other
crustaceans and other polar bears. Rarely do they eat plants.

Special Powers: Extremely well developed sense of
smell, excellent swimmers.

Social Structure: Not territorial, mostly solitary,
but they like to play and snuggle sometimes.
- Sleep Habits: Active during the day time.
- Status: Vulnerable.

Red Panda

Environment: Eastern Himalayas and Southwestern China
(temperate forests).

Diet: Mostly bamboo, but they also eat mushrooms,
roots, acorns, lichens, and grasses.

Special Powers: Can stand upright for ten seconds at
a time.

Social Structure: Not territorial, mostly solitary,
but they like to play and snuggle sometimes.

Sleep Habits: Active both during the night and
twilight period.
- Status: Endangered.
